“The freedom that you can run a truck like you want to. Run it as hard as you want to.  Don’t have someone over you demanding you to do this or that.  Go home when you want to.  Make as much money as you want to.  Nobody telling you what you can do.”

What was your most memorable load that you hauled with us?

“I arrived at my destination in Buffalo, NY and had to wait until the next morning for it to open up. Overnight it snowed over 10 feet – it was the worst storm they had ever had up there! I only had a ¼ tank of fuel and not much food in the truck because I didn’t expect to be stranded. The weather didn’t show that it was going to be that bad.  It was the scariest time of my life in trucking.  Luckily, there was another truck driver that owned a shop nearby.  This stranger let me stay at his house for the next 3-4 days and I dug my truck out a little each day until it was finally free and I could be on my way. We became friends on Facebook and still keep in touch that way.  I’ll never forget that experience!”
