Celebrating Excellence: Carlos Espino Named Owner Operator of the Month

Carlos exemplifies the responsibility, faith, and professionalism that define the very best owner operators in the industry. Each day on the road, Carlos begins his journey by listening to the gospel, followed by good music, helping him stay focused, positive, and grounded throughout every run.

Preparation and faith go hand in hand for Carlos. He believes in inviting Jesus Christ into every mile he drives and ensures his truck is always stocked with food, water, and emergency gear. To Carlos, every load is memorable because securing steel properly is a serious responsibility. One haul that stood out was transporting a single steel coil requiring an overweight permit from Middletown, Ohio to Laredo, Texas, a run that demanded careful planning and attention to detail from start to finish.

When Carlos isn’t behind the wheel, his focus is on what matters most—his family. He enjoys cookouts, movie nights, and quality time together, which help him recharge and stay motivated on the road. His advice to fellow Owner Operators is clear and experience‑driven: never rush, never cut corners when securing a load, and always plan trips with safety as the top priority.

Since joining Tennessee Steel Haulers, Carlos says freight has remained steady and the office staff has been consistently supportive when it comes to finding loads and offering assistance. He credits his success first to God, then to his family for their unwavering support, and to TSH for the opportunity to be part of a strong, dependable team.
