Celebrating Excellence: Henry Fox Named Owner Operator of the Month

 

We’re proud to recognize Henry Fox as our Owner Operator of the Month for the dedication, hard work, and positive attitude shown out on the road every day at Tennessee Steel Haulers (TSH).

To pass the time, Henry enjoys listening to music and thinking ahead about the next step and the next load. Staying prepared is key in the owner operator trucking industry. There is always food and water stocked in the truck, just in case a stop does not offer much or a night is spent at a customer’s location during pick up or delivery.

Some of Henry’s most memorable loads have been oversized trucking runs out of Laredo and Cofield. Not only do those loads pay well, but they are also some of the most enjoyable and rewarding challenges on the road.

When Henry is off the clock and back at home, time is spent relaxing at the lake, enjoying life with two Dobermans, and sharing laughs with family, including playing the occasional joke on a wife and daughter.

Advice for New Owner Operators

Henry shares helpful insight for drivers entering the owner operator business or running their own company:
✅ Do your research before jumping in and understand the freight lanes
✅ Find what works best for your trucking operation
✅ Stay patient and committed as you learn the process

What stands out most to Henry about TSH is the honesty. From day one, starting with being picked up at the motel to every interaction since, the communication has been straightforward and reliable.

The first 30 days had challenges, but with encouragement from Skylar Williams to hang in there, things steadily improved and then became great. Working alongside Jesse, Matthew, and other coordinators and agents has made the journey a successful one and, most importantly, profitable.

A special shoutout goes to Skylar for being a major source of inspiration, leading in the right direction and helping set the path for success. 🙌

Overall, it has been a good road so far, and Henry has no complaints, only gratitude for the team, the opportunity, and the growth within TSH’s owner operator program.
