Celebrating Excellence: Matt Fayne Named Owner Operator of the Month

We are proud to recognize Matt Fayne as our May 2026 Owner Operator of the Month. Matt represents the independence, discipline, and commitment that define success at TSH, showing what it truly means to run your own business on the road.

For Matt, time behind the wheel is about more than just moving freight. He uses those miles to invest in himself, often listening to investment audiobooks while driving. His truck reflects both his focus and his personality, with a jump rope to stay active and an electric guitar to relax and recharge after a long day.

Matt has taken on some of the toughest challenges the job can offer. One of his most memorable hauls was moving an AC load from Laredo to Washington during the winter, navigating difficult terrain and chaining up along the way. It was a demanding run that showcased his skill, determination, and ability to handle whatever the road brings.

When he is not working, Matt enjoys life on his ranch and spends time building classic muscle cars from the 1970s. That same hands on approach carries into his work, where he emphasizes the importance of staying ahead of equipment maintenance and fixing small problems before they grow into larger ones.

Matt credits his success to a combination of personal responsibility and the strong support system at Tennessee Steel Haulers. With access to maintenance discounts and a reliable network, he has the tools needed to keep his operation running smoothly. What he values most, however, is the freedom to book his own loads and plan his home time, giving him full control over his schedule.
