Tennessee Steel Haulers Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
TSH was bustling with color on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 as employees wore various shades of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Employees participated to raise awareness for breast cancer risks, the importance of screening, early detection, and treatment available to men and women who are diagnosed.
More than 249
,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer every year, and nearly 41,000 die from the disease. Additionally, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Over the years, a loop of pink ribbon has come to symbolize breast cancer awareness.
