May 2017 Owner Operator of the Month: John Prince

 

We had a lot of great candidates this month! It’s with great pleasure that we announce that John Prince has been named TSHOwner Operator of the Month for May 2017.  

Mr. Prince was in the Top 5 of all TSH Owner Operators in revenue. John runs on Elogs and has received zero CSA points in 2017. Mr. Prince ran multiple loads for Trane, Carrier and Outokumpu this month. Please join us in congratulating John on a great month!

What is your advice to other Owner Operators that want to be more successful?
“Thank God for the good times that He gives you. Be patient when the times aren’t good. Bad things happen and not all days are good but your attitude going in is what controls your day. Each day can be a good or bad day. A great deal has to do with your attitude going in more than the actions coming out.”

Words to live by?
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” – Colossians 3:23

“I read my bible daily. Learned a long time ago to put it at the beginning so you don’t miss it. I credit God for my success. I can’t imagine living apart from that part of my life. Work for others as you would for Christ.”

How do you feel about having an ELD in your truck?
You’ve got to learn how to use it to be successful using it. But it’s no different then when you learned paper logs. There’s much less pressure by law enforcement, you don’t get scrutinized and don’t have to worry at weigh stations getting inspections. You can be successful on it! You’ve just got to learn how to drive and use your time wisely. It’s a system you’ve got to learn and you can either be mad and upset at it and not gain through it or learn how to be fruitful in it!
