TSH Places Second in the 2017 Music City Corporate Challenge

Tennessee Steel Haulers (TSH) has participated in the Music City Corporate Challenge for the last two years—this year the company’s final standing was second place! The Music City Corporate Challenge is an olympic-style event that promotes interaction between various corporations in the Nashville area as well as employee fitness, and is designed to benefit Special Olympics Tennessee (SOTN).

The event consists of numerous competitions between corporations including: basketball, golf, tug of war, soccer, dodgeball, trivia, and a one-mile walk. Companies earn points based on their placement, participation and volunteer support. TSH competed in Division 2, which is designated for smaller companies. Below shows how TSH ranked for each event, including participation and bonus points:

  • One Mile Walk: 42 points
  • 3 on 3 Basketball (Men’s Division): 37 points
  • 3 on 3 soccer (Men’s Division): 45 points
  • Tug of War: 75 points
  • Golf: 125 points
  • Trivia: 90 points
  • Dodgeball: 62 points

These challenges took place over the course of six weeks, and TSH claimed second place with a total of 476 points. This was a great opportunity for employees to get together outside of the office and contribute to a good cause. TSH plans to continue participation for years to come!
